If you could ask President Wheelwright anything, what would it be?
This is a good week for those of you with questions about how--and why--this school works the way it does. There are two open meetings this week where students (and the Student Voice) will have the opportunity to ask the men and women in charge of BYU-Hawaii anything they want to.
Once every three months President Wheelwright and the President’s Council have a “Question and Answer Forum” that any student, faculty member, BYU-Hawaii staff, or community member can attend. The next meeting is this Thursday at 2:00 PM. This will be the last chance students have this year to ask questions to the administration. The Student Voice will be attending the forum, ready to ask any and all questions to the President that you—the students and community members who read this paper--would like answered. After the forum is over we will report how President Wheelwright answered the questions you have posed.
Earlier on Thursday the Office of Honor is having its own forum for students who have questions or concerns with the Honor Code. They will be holding the forum on the same day (November 20th) in the very same location--Aloha Center 155. They have built a panel of BYU-Hawaii administrators, leaders, and employees whose work deals extensively with the Honor Code. They strongly encourage students to come to the discussion and ask about anything. As with President’s Q&A forum, The Student Voice will be there to ask anything you want us to. If you cannot make the meeting (or have questions you are too nervous to voice publicly) we will be happy to ask your questions and report what answers they give in return.
What should The Student Voice should ask President Wheelwight and the Office of Honor panel? If you have any questions you would like to ask the President tell us and we will be happy to ask for you. You can submit questions to us by commenting on this page, commenting on our facebook feed, or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].
For those who want to attend in person, the first forum will be held in Aloha Center Room 155 on Thursday, November 20th at 11:00 AM; the second forum will be held on the same day and at the same location at 2:00 PM No special attire is required and students are welcome to come even if they do not have questions prepared themselves.
